Furniture Concepts is a custom furniture manufacturer and upholstery company dedicated to providing its customers with quality upholstery work at competitive prices. We are located just north of Boston in Malden, Massachusetts, where all of our products are manufactured and fabricated at our location. We build all of our furniture on site, from initial frame to the final piece of fabric and everything in between. This allows our clients flexibility and distinguishes us as an industry leader.

Our company was founded in 1994 by Kevin McMahon, who had been working in the upholstery business since taking a summer job as a high school student in 1972. The business started in the corner of Kevin’s basement and within a year, we moved in to our first commercial location on Broadway in Malden.
There, we rented a small one-room shop and office. But as the business grew, so did our space, as we began leasing more space in the building and knocking down walls to expand our shop.
Outgrowing that space, and with the building running out of room for our expansion, in 1997 we purchased our headquarters at 7 Cross Street in Malden, and have been operating in our facility here for almost 20 years.
Our team has more than 100 years of combined experience and we augment their talent by fitting our shop with the latest technology, ensuring that we are able to handle any job, no matter the size, scope or difficulty.
