Kevin McMahon, President/CEO
Kevin McMahon began his career in the upholstery business during the summer of 1972, when he took a job at StarUpholstery in Malden. What started as a summer job sweeping floors turned into a full-fledged career. After learning the trade, Kevin spent more than 20 years at Star Upholstery before opening Furniture Concepts on Jan. 1, 1994. Kevin graduated from Pope John High School (Everett, Mass.) in 1976. Kevin currently resides in Melrose, Mass. with his wife, Camille (our vice president).
Camille McMahon, Vice President
Camille began working in the wedding business in 1974 in Boston and later at a boutique in Malden, Mass. She joined the company upon its opening in 1994 and runs HR as well as payroll. Camille graduated from Malden High School in 1974. Camille currently resides in Melrose, Mass. with her husband, and company co-founder, Kevin.
Michael McMahon, Chief Operating Officer
Michael began working at the company as a teenager, starting out like his father (sweeping floors) and eventually doing deliveries and working around the shop. He transitioned into the office while a student at Merrimack College and joined the company full-time after graduating in 2006. Currently, Michael helps run the day-to-day operations of the company. Michael graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 2002 and Merrimack College (B.S. Political Science) in 2006. He currently resides in Peabody, Mass. with his wife, Kristin, and his children, Tyler and Owen.
Stephen King, Foreman
Stephen’s father, Lenny, trained Kevin while he worked as the foreman at Star Upholstery in the 1970’s. Stephen joined Furniture Concepts in 1996 and served the same role as his father for our company. He recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with Furniture Concepts.
